From Your Publisher

This has been a fun-filled past few days, jam-packed with great information from keynote speakers and other Macaroni Kid Publishers from across the country. This is the third year that I have been fortunate enough to be able to attend our annual Meet-Up, which was held in beautiful Fort Lauderdale this year, and I always come back with great new ideas for making Macaroni Kid Reading even better!  Just wait to see what I have in store for you soon!



Of course, along with all the learning, we also had time for some fun.  We were treated to a great Polynesian dinner & show at The Mai Kai, and I was able to take an airboat ride in the Everglades where I saw some alligators, turtles and other local wildlife.

 


One thing that really resonated with me from the Meet-Up this week was from one of the keynote speakers, Darlene Hunter, who is an author and motivational speaker. She spoke about identifying those who are in your square - those people who support you and have your back. So, I ask you - who are the people in your square? I challenge you to reach out and thank them this week. 

We also learned that next year our annual Meet-Up will be held in Park City, Utah, which I am very excited about because I have never been to Utah. One of my bucket list items is to visit all 50 states, and so far, I have been able to visit 19 states, so visiting Utah will make it 20! Have any of you been to Utah? Comment below and let me know!
