March 26 - Make Up Your Own Holiday Day -
On March 26th, every year we celebrate Make Up Your Own Holiday Day and you get to celebrate whatever you want!  Why not celebrate a day all about you!  Did your son or daughter ace that test, did you or your significant other get that promotion?  Well then today is the day to whoop it up and have a party!  Get creative and most of all have fun!

March 27 - Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day -  "There's A Tear In My Beer" and "Did I Shave My Legs For This" are just two of the many wacky song titles out there that came to mind when I saw this holiday.  On this date we celebrate all those wacky, silly and sometimes off color country songs out there.  So put on your cowboy hat, grab your guitar and bellow out the notes to one of those quirky country songs!

March 28 - Something On A Stick Day -
Why is it that when you put food on a stick it instantly tastes better and becomes more exotic and enticing?  Popsicles, corndogs, lolipops, Kebobs.....  Food just sounds yummier when you add a stick!

March 29 - National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day - Today is the day to celebrate all the little businesses.  The "Mom and Pop" stores in your area.  These business owners usually put in more hours, care more about their customers and put their heart and souls into their jobs.  So today when you drive past that little corner store stop on in and support your local small business owners!

Jen and I would also like to do a shout out to all our "Mom and Pop" businesses in our business directory.  Again these business owners have put their heart and soul into what they do.  If you are ever in need of a product or service our directory is a great place to start looking!   To check it out follow this link:

March 30 - National Day Of Unplugging - Can you imagine no iphone, ipad, ipod, computer, game system or tv for 24 hours?  If you are starting to sweat bullets and hyperventilate you are not alone.  Today we are constantly in touch with everyone and everything going on.  I know that I rarely go 30 minutes without checking my email or texting/talking on my phone.  Today make your goal to unplug and get back in touch with your family.  Instead of watching tv get out the board games and play with the kids.  If it is nice outside go for a walk or to the park.  Enjoy just being together and reconnect!

March 31 - Easter -  Websters dictionary defines Easter as "
a feast that commemorates Christ's resurrection and is observed with variations of date due to different calendars on the first Sunday after the paschal full moon."  We all have our own family traditions on this day.  One of my favorites is the kids sitting at the top of the stairs in Easter morning waiting for me to go down and check to see if the Easter bunny has left them baskets.  I of course always yell that "No he didn't come. Go back to bed" up the stairs and giggle as the moaning and "Moooommmmsss" are yelled back at me.  Whatever your traditions are, today is a day to be spent in the company of family and friends.  And we at Macaroni Kid hope you all have a very Happy Easter!

April 1 - April Fool's Day -  Jen and I are very sad to announce that we will no longer be publishing Macaroni Kid!  We have found that it is just too much for the two of us to do and raise our families.

APRIL FOOL'S

Sorry about that, I couldn't resist.  On this day my children will play pranks on one another, hide my husbands and my things and not tell us where they are and basically drive me crazy trying to "one up" each other.  So as you go through today remember to be ever vigilant or someone may just make you an April Fool!
