We began the evening with crafts. Each of the kids, with help from their parents, had super capes, decorated their own super hero masks, created their own doggie ears, and put together doggie gift bags. Inside the gift bags were fun treats from Disney, including tattoos, a Super Buddies comic book, a Super Buddies activity booklet, and a few other fun trinkets. After they finished their crafts, they all grabbed some snacks - pop corn provided by JOLLY TIME, sugar cookies in the shape of dog bones, and a drink. Then we all settled in to watch the movie.

I will be honest, I was a little worried that with 13 kids, they'd be more interested in playing with each other than watching the movie. My worry was pushed aside as soon as the opening credits appeared on-screen. All the kids sat there, silent, as the movie began, and seemed to be mesmerized throughout the entire movie - even the older kids. My son, who's 11, was literally sitting on the edge of the couch! But then again, who wouldn't love a movie about an adventure with dogs.
In the movie, Rosebud, B-Dawg, Budderball, Mudbud, and Buddha, five sibling golden retrievers, discover some glowing rings, and when they put them on, discover the special rings give them super powers! Fun is about to begin when the five dogs decide they will try to help their hometown by using their super powers. The problem is, they seem to create more mess than they fix. It's a cute and funny movie that kept the children entertained for the whole length of the movie.
The movie is rated G, but does have a little name calling, violence is "funny" (a big wedgie, bumped heads, etc.), and my 3-year old son did pick up on the fact that one character is killed during a spaceship collision.

All in all, I found this to be an entertaining movie, and I'm glad to add it to our ever-growing Disney collection! Thank you to all the families who came out to our preview night! We hope you all had a great time!
