As a corporate advertising professional, local entrepreneur Heather Brady, found herself asking her clients questions such as:

  • Are you a community member who loves to support local businesses and charities?
  • Are you a small business owner who wants to support multiple local charities, but can only afford a few?
  • What if a small investment enabled you to help multiple organizations raise thousands of necessary dollars while growing your business?

Heather came up with the answer to those questions. Heather now says, “There’s an app for that!” Passionate about supporting local charities and growing local businesses, she and her husband Patrick, developed the “Do It Local App” – a fundraising tool that connects local charities, quality local businesses, and loyal community members. Heather truly believes each day should be Small Business Saturday.

Both Heather and Patrick Brady are graduates of Governor Mifflin High School. They have been married six years and have a son named Colton.

Heather Adams, of BCTV in Reading, said, “We partnered with Do It Local because of the true value and meaning in ‘doing it local’ - we believe in collaborating within our community and this is a great opportunity to fundraise for our organization while promoting and supporting other businesses in Berks.”

“As a Do It Local member, you feel good about giving to a charity while saving money at over 60 local businesses. As a business owner, you feel good about supporting local charities while your loyal customer base grows. As a charity, you have a customized fundraising product that allows you to highlight your corporate sponsors throughout the year. Everyone wins!” Heather said.
