Playground Review: 11th & Pike Playground

By Jennifer Schorr, Publisher May 14, 2018

11th & Pike Playground
1401 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604

There is lots of open space at this park to run around, kick a ball, have a catch, or have a picnic. There are slides, equipment to climb on, swings, tunnels, and see-saws. A small paved path is good for rollerblading. It is worth noting that while there is a lot of fun equipment for kids, there was a lot of trash when my son and I visited, including empty beer bottles.

Are there any bathrooms?
I was not able to locate any while we were there.

How much parking is there?
There is on-street parking surrounding the park.

Is it handicapped accessible?
The playground is pretty level, though I did not see any equipment or swings for anyone with special needs.

Are dogs allowed?
I don't believe so.
