Playground Review: Gouglersville Playground

By Kristen Owles, Macaroni Kid Reviewer July 28, 2018

Gouglersville Playground
475 Mohns Hill Road, Reading

There are some definite highs and lows to this playground - if I lived around the corner, we would probably pop by quite often, but I definitely wouldn't travel a distance to visit. I enjoyed the variety of pieces of apparatus available. There were eight different slides of varying heights, step stools, ladders, swirly poles, swings, a spiderweb, and a roundabout. A parking lot close by, a shaded pavilion, and nearby port-o-potty round out the thumbs up list. On the downside, it's not huge, some of the equipment seemed a little high/dangerous for toddlers, and one of the four swings was broken. My three year still had a blast, but I wasn't head over heels in love.

There are two toddler swings and two smaller slides but the rest of the equipment might be best for the over-three crowd. At the end of the day, I've seen far worse. This was pretty decent but not impressive. We would be back if we were in the area.
