Berks County Shop Local Contest

When we shop in Berks County, we help our local economy to thrive. In addition to the economic benefits that come from shopping locally, the small businesses in our community are crucial to the growth of our community through offering products and services that are unique to our area and providing quality and convenience for all community members. 

Once again, Macaroni Kid is encouraging you to think big, but shop small & locally this holiday season and all year round. This year, more than ever, our small businesses need our support and we encourage you to commit to spending at least a portion of your holiday budget locally.

You could even win a $50 gift certificate to a Berks County Business!
There will be 4 lucky winners!

There are 2 ways to enter to win:

1. Complete the form found HERE to nominate a local Berks County small business. Each business you nominate is 1 entry into the contest. You many nominate as many local businesses as you want.
2. Shop at any local Berks County small business, save your receipt and submit your receipt on the form found HERE. The receipt must show where you shopped and the date in order to be entered into the contest. You can omit the amount you spent. Every receipt with purchases made between December 1-31, 2020 at a Berks County small business (store, restaurant, event, service, etc.) will earn you 25 entries into the contest.

Includes the location of the business (the name was not on the receipt, so I wrote that on there). Includes date the transaction took place (please note that only receipts dated between December 1-31, 2020 will count for this contest.) Blacked out the prices. What could you win?

Macaroni Kid Reading will be purchasing four (4) $50 gift cards from local businesses nominated or that had receipts provided during this contest. Those gift cards will be awarded to four (4) people who enter this contest.

The contest will run December 1-31, 2020. Gift cards will be purchased in the first week of January, and winners will be contacted at the email address they provide on the entry form during the first week of January.
