Halloween Craft: Toilet Paper Roll Bats

By Kimberly Vees October 7, 2014

Here is a cute and simple Halloween craft to do with your kids using items you have on hand!

Supplies you will need:

  • 1 toilet paper roll per bat
  • black paint & paint brushes
  • black construction paper
  • scissors
  • hole punch
  • string
  • glue
  • glow sticks (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut your toilet paper roll to the size you want.  (If using glow sticks to make theirs eyes glow do not cut your toilet paper roll!)
  2. Paint the toilet paper roll black and let it dry.
  3. Using the hole punch make two eyes and a hole in the back to hang your bat.
  4. Cut wings out of a piece of black construction paper and glue to the back of your bat.  (I am a terrible artist so I searched for bat wings and printed a template from the web.)
  5. Hang your bats using string from a tree or place in the bushes.

Extra fun:

On Halloween, you can glue a glow stick inside your bat to make their eyes glow!
