Mac Kid Review: Shear Envy Beauty Salon in Sinking Spring

I have been searching for a salon to take my daughter to for quite some time. About 4 years ago I took her to one of those strip-mall haircut places, and let me tell you, it was a disaster! It was right before Thanksgiving, and Rachael wanted an inverted bob cut. Up until then, I had trimmed her hair at home. I thought I might be able to do what she wanted, but I thought it would be better to have a "professional" do it. It wasn't quite dry when we left, but by the time we got home, I could see that it was almost an inch shorter on one side, so back in the car we went...back to the shop...I showed them what was wrong, and first of all, never did I hear an apology, and then after they "corrected" it, it was still uneven! I vowed never to take her there again!

So, last week I took my daughter to Shear Envy Beauty Salon, located at 3444 Penn Avenue in Sinking Spring, where Rachael had her hair cut and styled by Elyse. Elyse was fantastic! Not only did she do a great job on Rachael's hair, but Rachael loved her! Elyse was friendly, and even gave Rachael some pointers about taking care of her hair, because now that Rachael is a teenager, there is much more to it than just washing it...there's styling, how much product to use, the frequency of washing depending on how oily or dry her scalp is, etc. There is no doubt we will be making future appointments with Elyse!

   

Rachael (and I) left the salon feeling so pleased with not just the haircut, but the atmosphere and service, as well. Shear Envy Beauty Salon is a full-service salon with a range of services including waxing, manicures, and more. I had my nails done 2 weeks ago, and if my nails hadn't grown, I would not have had to change the polish! There was no chipping! Amazing!
