Playground Review: French Creek State Park

This park has something for everyone! In addition to a playground with slides, swings, log runs, and monkey bars, there is a large pool, huge lake you can fish in, rent kayaks and canoes, play frisbee golf, follow one of several hiking trails, enjoy a friendly game of basketball at the pool. If camping is your thing, there is regular camping, group camping and cabins available to rent. The playground is more for older kids however there are 2 baby swings and 3 baby slides.

Are there any bathrooms?
Yes, there are bathhouse buildings with flushing toilets and sinks.

How much parking is there?
There is a parking lot at the playground and a huge upper lot near the pool.

Is it handicapped accessible?
Yes, it's handicapped accessible. There are wide steps with handle leading up to the smaller slides.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, they must be leashed and clean up after.

Biking/Walking Trail - YES
Picnic Tables - YES, at the playground there are 3 tables and 2 benches. There are picnic tables throughout the park, and there is a large picnic grove near the pool.
Benches - YES
Open fields - YES
Shade/Trees - There is no shade at the playground, however you are in a state park so if you are on a trail there is a lot of shade.
Water fountains/Vending machine - No vending machine but there is a water fountain at the playground.
Ball fields - YES, there is a grassy baseball field and large open areas for play. Also, there is a frisbee golf course in the wooded area between the playground and the pool.
