It seems like at least once a week, I hear friends talking about their kids who won’t sleep, or see memes on Facebook joking about never-ending bedtimes.

Now, this classic tale gets a hilarious twist in the new book Sleepy, The Goodnight Buddy, from the New York Times #1 best-selling author Drew Daywalt, who authored the popular favorite The Day The Crayons Quit. The book centers on young Roderick who pulls all types of stunts to try and avoid bedtime. Exhausted and out of ideas, his parents get him a new stuffed animal to try and soothe him to sleep.

Isn’t everyone surprised when Sleepy turns out to be a talkative stuffed animal that keeps Roderick awake!

Both kids and parents will find the exchanges between Roderick and Sleepy, the odd-couple dynamic of the story, both funny and entertaining.

Designed for reading aloud with lots of great dialogue in the book, Sleepy, The Goodnight Buddy will make a great addition to your home library and a book that your kids will ask to read again and again!
