I have always enjoyed baking, but I've never been happy with my decorating abilities, so my cookies usually remain as just cookies. No special icing. No decorations. Just plain, simple sugar cookies.
Not anymore! Thanks to the Wine & Ice Class I attended last Friday with two friends, I was taught the ins and outs of cookie decorating. I was excited to attend but didn't have much faith that my cookies would be any masterpieces, and I was ok with that. I knew I'd still have fun. Fun was definitely had, but I also ended up with cookies I was proud of. By following the instructions given by our teacher, Jessica, who is also the owner of Well Hello Cookie, I was easily able to follow along and learn what I needed to do.
Not only did I leave with decorated cookies I was proud of, I actually let them sit for a day before allowing anyone in my family to eat them - they were so pretty! I wanted to enjoy my beautifully decorated cookies for as long as I could. But Sunday was St. Patrick's Day, so I decided it was time to bite in. They were delicious! By Monday nothing was left but a few cookie crumbs... and lots of fun memories from the Wine & Ice Class.
