Description
Join us and Elmwood Park Zoo in our July series of programs you won't soon forget! Week 2, we'll be learning all about the African Bullfrog. (Alternate animal will be the Prehensile-Tailed Skink if the African Bullfrog is unavailable). In this 30 minute program, we'll meet an animal ambassador, enjoy a lesson on the African Bullfrog's natural history, and have time at the end to ask questions. The African bullfrog is the largest amphibian located in South Africa. The frog has the ability to tolerate Africa’s harsh environment. Temperatures can rise to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and plummet below freezing in the winter. During this time the bullfrog will remain underground until the rainy season begins. Calls such as their recognizable loud, bellowing call is used to locate females during mating season. To receive the Zoom link and password, call us at 610-678-8771. We hope to see you virtually!
